Hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, Lindsay completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of South Africa, obtaining his Bachelors of Accounting Science and Honours Bachelors of Accounting Science. Lindsay successfully completed the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants Qualifying Examination (Board 1) and the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors Public Practice Examination (Board 2) in 2009 and is a registered Chartered Accountant with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).

EXPERIENCE

In his professional life, Lindsay worked as a bookkeeper in the Business Services Division, at Mazars, the 6th biggest auditing and accounting firm in South Africa for 2 years (2004 – 2005), specialising mainly in small and medium enterprise business. Performing various duties including financial reporting and compliance for a broad portfolio of clients on a monthly, periodic and annual basis, while employed at Mazars, decided to pursue the audit stream and completed 4 years (2006 – 2010) of articles (internship/training contract) at Mazars, transferring to the Audit Division. There Lindsay was exposed to various listed and small/medium enterprise businesses, performing various duties including financial reporting and planning, performing, finalising audit engagements, as well as supervising the audit engagement team and interact with audit clients.
